Hi Sven,

I love the app and am very much enjoying it. How would I go about importing a link into the Sudoku Pad app (not the web browser) as I seem to be unable to currently and receive the message "This link does not contain valid share data". Is there a tool to convert the link or to download it in another format?

Many thanks,

WWE3217

using Version 1.3.1.1 on a Mac

when i use colors
it tends to get stuck in add a cell mode
( as opposed to select a new cell mode )

is there a newer version that fixes this bug?

Morning,

Sudoku Pad just reverted to default, all imported puzzle links are gone (over 15).  What is the fix for this and stop it from happening again? I want to run Cracking the Cryptic puzzle hunts but I feel I can't trust that my progress will be saved.

Hi,Sven

I just bought this game on steam. It's really good. But how could I create a Variant Sudoku?

Thank you very much.

Hey. Currently variant sudokus cannot be created from within the app, but can be imported. You can create them with any of the existing tools out there, such as   https://sudokulab.net/  and https://www.f-puzzles.com/.

Thanks,that's helpful

I can't seem to figure out how to do this?  I tried clicking "Import Puzzle", pasting the link to my puzzle (https://f-puzzles.com/?id=2cxkv7s4) and it says "This link does not contain valid share data".  Same thing when I try pasting the non-shortened URL.

SudokuPad only supports sudokupad links, not f-puzzles. So convert it first (by replacing  "https://f-puzzles.com/?load=" with "https://sudokupad.app/fpuzzles"). Then you should be able to press "Play in SudokuPad" at the top of the page.

Hi Sven

Awesome App! Thank you.

It seems with the latest Qinlux's BYO Sudoku Pack on Puzzle 2 and 4, Sudokupad loads fine in Chrome {Windows 10). Then I click on the "Play in SudokuPad" it shows "Open Puzzle with SudokuPad", however nothing happens when I click on it. It has always worked for all other puzzles. Any ideas, please?

Update: I used the F-puzzle link to open in Chrome, converted to SudokuPad using the Java applet, then clicked "Play in SudokuPad"/"Open with SudokuPad" and that worked.

Hey HighEagle,

Glad you like it! I'm afraid I've found windows/Chrome to be a little unreliable. It won't work at all, but work fine in Firefox, and sometimes, restarting Chrome or rebooting "fixes" it, and then it stops again after a while. I don't know if there is anything I can do about it. But if I can figure out how to reproduce it reliably,  I hope I can improve that behavior!

Does this purchase include all future updates?

Yes, it does.
It does not include other platforms/stores, though, and I am always grateful for additional support (ongoing server costs and development support) on   patreon.svencodes.com!

Is it possible to make this available for Linux users? I've installed it on my Android device, but I'd much rather play on a big screen with and a keyboard.

Hi Marc! Currently  I don't have specific Linux builds. But I see sometimes sales for Linux on Steam. I think they have some automatic conversion to Linux which seems to work!
You can check it out here:   http://steam.sudokupad.com/

I just bought and downloaded the game, I can confirm that is working on linux, no need to change any settings, and as far as I can notice, everything is in order

That's great to hear!
Sadly I'm not set up with tools for testing various environments, but I'd really like to do so more in the future

Hi rlacerda!
I bought the game, and installed the Steam platform on Linux Ubuntu.
And it says the game is not for my platform
Is there any way to play the game, without installing virtual windows machine?

Hello,

You need to go to Steam Settings, under Steam Play and activate "Enable Steam play for all other titles".

I see others have said that the Windows version works, I would like to see a Linux build, even if Wine works well with it. But I’m incredibly impressed to see this on Itch.io despite it being “somewhat harder” to find here than the Steam, Android, and iOS locations.

I already bought this for my Google Play on mobile
